Agroiris has managed to consolidate a project that has been growing continuously ever since the company was founded in
1994. Today it is at the forefront of the Spanish agricultural sector as one of the leading enterprises in the province.
After 10 years working non-stop the turnover here at
SAT Agroiris leaves little room for doubt.
Following a decade of work, Agroiris has accomplished the objective of marketing the fruit and vegetables produced by its member/growers in more than twenty five countries; the main destinations being Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, and England in that order. Produce has also been marketed in such remarkable places as Ireland, Croatia, Greece and Luxembourg.
With
40 million kilos handled, packaged and sold annually
peppers clearly take pride of place as product leader.
Second place is held by
melons, the entire range accounts for
16 million kilos per annum.
Cucumber exports totaling
15 million kilos come in a close third.
Watermelons, the fourth product in order of importance, make up a volume of
14 million kilos.
Among the other fruits and vegetables annually
representing this company in over 25 countries are, in order of importance: Courgettes, five million kilos, tomatoes, 4.5 million kilos and aubergines, four million kilos. Other less widely grown produce in the province such as green beans, Chinese cabbage, traditional and “mange tout” peas still account for another five million kilos per annum.
Another important fact is that over 13 million euros of produce per year is purchased from Agroiris on the international market by one sole customer.
To be more specific, in the last agricultural year Agroiris achieved a
record turnover of 92 million euros by marketing
103 million kilos of fruit and vegetables in 25 countries around the world.

Future Projects
Company management has decided on
an ordered growth target in line with growers’ requirements. The latest investment, of around two million euros, is another step along the way towards reducing handling costs of the star product of the enterprise: Peppers.
Agroiris is also determined to dedicate the time and effort needed towards achieving
offer base concentration to be able to rise to the occasion, no matter what or however large it may be, whenever our customers may require it. This is the objective that Agroiris has set itself and will continue to be so until, and when,
optimum levels of satisfaction for both customers and growers alike have been accomplished.
The Company’s constant evolution has reinforced the belief that the theories applied over the last ten years, giving rise to the current business situation, have been thoroughly tried, tested and passed.
